So i’m working my way through the third edition of Total Warfare: Close Combat Classic and I encountered this one bit of information that has made me curious. The creators of the game seemed to have been trying to create as balanced an experience as possible by including equal forces for both allied and opponents. But this is not what you will be able to read here today. The Soviet forces are at a distinct disadvantage and are left out of much of the game and in some cases are barely even playable due to their inability to perform certain operations such as landing operations. While the U.S. Army has numbers and armor advantages, they don’t have the infantry capabilities that the Soviets have. Indeed, tanks are the main source of damage for any side, so it’s no wonder that the Soviets are getting destroyed in droves.
Unfortunately for the Soviets, their weakness in numbers is nearly the only thing that is keeping them alive in the game. Due to various mistakes the Soviets seem to have made in actually creating counters to enemy forces in the game, enemies have the tendency to mass in specific areas and either destroy or encircle Soviet forces and/or their vehicles. Once a Soviet unit is isolated it’s a foregone conclusion and the Soviet player loses unless he can pull the Soviets out. These poor decisions can nearly always be attributed to poor leadership in the Soviet commander. Without a doubt, a game that would be regarded as fun and entertaining for most players would be a poor one for the Soviets if the game were to be played at all.
As for myself, I have had a lot of fun with this game and have completed multiple games playing as both the Soviet and Allied sides. Let’s start a new strategy!
Hero QA (QA Hero) for Bloons TD 5 is a very useful and fun strategy where you (the defender) are trying to protect the base in which you have placed your units. QA Hero makes your life easier as you are given the information on how to manage your hero. However, you are also challenged with sometimes failing to protect your base and sometimes making the horde proceed to take more than one base.
Note that Hero QA does not guide you to how to save the base. You have to navigate on your own. Therefore, please do not report any bugs as the video is not meant to be an instructional tool.
