2020-2021 School Year

The WPA Board of Directors unanimously voted to open-up for the first 9 weeks under Plan C. This was not an easy decision. The Board looked at the overwhelming number of parents who chose to do 100% remote online learning, listened to input from teachers and reviewed the Wilson County COVID-19 positive case rate percentages, which continues to be above the State average. These factors lead to the decision to open-up under Plan C. • The health and safety of all of the scholars, teachers and staff is first and foremost. WPA also took into consideration that the Halifax County Principal of the Year died after fighting COVID19. Some of our teachers, parents and staff at Wilson Preparatory Academy have also lost members of their family to COVID-19.
