Juneteenth Juneteenth is a time for celebration Freedom Liberation Emancipation Juneteenth is a time for blessing Lessons Enjoying our brothers and sisters Juneteenth is a time for remembrance Of our ancestors who toiled, worked, and fought for us to be freed today Today is meant for joy You see us black people are more than our pain Struggle Abuse We are strong Resilient Full of black boy joy Full of black girl magic We walk down the streets of our ancestors with our melanin glowing brighter than every star in the sky. We sing louder than the trumpets in heaven We dance with more strength than a heard of elephants Black is majestic Black is beautiful Black is the first thing you see in the morning Black is the first thing you see at night Black is omnipotent As we reminisce on our struggles Let us rejoice for the fight we have won And thank our ancestors who are the beginning but never the end Black lives will always and forever matter Aṣẹ
