In schools, the O-Linemen are Teachers.

As a society, we have devalued the importance of teachers. That’s a hard pill to swallow, but that’s where we are. We have to understand that quality education is our most prized profession in our society. Teachers willingly work in the trenches everyday and have taken to the calling of protecting the blind side of every kid, family, and colleague. Parents and students have a level of trust that teachers will always protect and fight for the best interest of the students. In no other profession can a single person move a group of learners, meta-cognitively, beyond their potential; on a daily basis.

Enlightening minds and filling hearts, these are the key attributes of teachers.

Teachers guide students in finding that spark of inquiry and passion, as students develop essential skills for the future of work. From planning engaging lessons, personalized for the experiences of their scholars—-to making home visits and scheduling enrichment field trips. Many teachers even use their spring break to take their scholars on school sponsored college tours. These are just a few examples of the unseen sacrifices and grind that educators make for their scholars. Educators show up daily and work in the trenches, as the blind side protecters for their students.
