In the fist video, from the layoffs at Disney, it is clear that the democratization of media is damaging the original film market. Many people lost their jobs because of this.
The second viedo is show about tell the story of Disney buying Fox movies, a big company buying a small studio. I think it's a good way to keep some of the movies that people like so much, but it's not going to come back. That's also a benefit.
While some films have disappeared since the merger, some classics have been salvaged. I don't acturrly know it makes the movie mediocre. It could be better. I think the quality of a film depends more on the investment of the company, the ideas of the film workers, and the social situation at that time. These are influencing what kind of movies people like more.
