During FSMA I met some wonderful members with whom I have great friendships and memories. There is one member who has been a great friend and mentor to me since I moved to Florida. Without her and her order, the Southwest Order could not have gotten off the ground. Several meetings in their area and excellent separation support from them helped us get started. I moved to Florida in 1996 and thanks to her and her department I was appointed Secretary of the FSMA in 1997. This member came to us as a student and when she attended their first meeting, she was asked if she would become a member of the Ways and Means Committee. The committee. She agreed and has been involved ever since. She served three times as FSMA President and later became AAMA Trustee and AAMA President. Years later she remained active in AAMA and is still active in her chapter and FSMA. She worked as a CMA (AAMA) for the same provider for about 30 years. When her father retired, she stayed and still works for his son. This member is an active member of her church and a proud grandmother.A member said of her, She is the epitome of leadership, loyalty and self-sacrifice.
