In the centenary year of women's suffrage in the UK, Manchester Literature Festival honoured ground breaking and pioneering women from past to present, internationally and closer to home, alongside male writers considering how to be in a changing world. Across 80+ events we welcomed world-renowned writers and poets, rising stars of literature, broadcasters and activists to showcase their own work and celebrate that of the trailblazers who paved the way.
