At a very young age, my parents passed away and I was left all alone. I was struggling my way to be a teacher. At night, I would dream about delivering lessons. Few times, I attempted to get full-time employment but no luck. It made my desire grow even further. 
Generally, only outstanding pupils would get a chance to be engaged in the school events while many of those had no desire to. I did try to engage other kids during rehearsals and that turned out to be rather annoying to the management: “Those kids are not doing well, why do you let them participate?!” I did realize they tended to judge pupils based on grades rather than their capacity. They did argue: “What will their speech be like? They can hardly speak.” Then I made a decision to change the performance. I was to think of something that would work fine, something that would not frustrate kids. Started considering pantomime scenario. When home I was busy looking for the right music, writing screenplay and noting down some movements. I kick started with movements, all of the kids excelled in flexibility. I presented the screenplay. I was no longer alone. Everybody was free to express his/her opinion, and little by little, we did produce a play named ‘Thou Art a Vineyard.’ We were to convey the history, culture, traditions, pain of our country through impressive moves in a speechless performance. At one of the top-notch events at the time, the municipality requested our school to present some kind of show. We urgently sewed costumes and headed to perform. In the dim light on the stage, my pupils were replacing one another - just mesmerizing gestures and movements accompanied with meaningful music. Observing the audience, I did realize it was a success. We did it! I could not help crying when the pupils were performing vine cutting by the enemy. They did it so skillfully I was standing stunned behind the scenes. When a sprout started growing on a fallen vine the entire audience rose to its feet.  
On that very day, I got an offer from a highly reputable school, followed by other four. I started working at five schools simultaneously, daily delivering six lessons in the history of religion. Few years later, this subject was out of the curriculum, later substituted by civic education. 
For seven years, I would walk to different villages since there was no traffic flow in those years. 
Later on, I got an offer from the biggest school in our municipality. A newly appointed headmaster (former municipality head) made an offer to be his deputy. Previously I used to work as a correspondent for a local newspaper and tended to constantly criticize that person. That criticism turned out to be beneficial to do the job better and he was generous to offer the position of a deputy. Having worked for three years, I lost my job due to the layoff. Afterwards I moved to the school I am currently working at.
I have implemented the project ‘Democratic Revolution’ that is still successfully ongoing. Within the framework of the project, I have developed the system to run the whole school life. I have managed to transform the school into a small State with the processes similar to those of a real State. The scale of communication among schoolchildren and teachers has been advanced, and most importantly, the pupils started proposing initiatives.
I started making changes the day I became a teacher. Initially I was restricted to introduce to the classroom the elements of non-formal education; therefore, I took 20 pupils of mine to the resort Abastumani. Our region is very humid and almost every kid is facing lung problems. Abastumani is the best resort in this regard. During 21 days in a row, I was conducting lessons on various topics in the middle of the forest in the shadow of giant trees. Later on I decided to enable other kids within the municipality to join the summer camp and I started taking actions. For fundraising purposes, I kept on going around different enterprises, companies. Quite a number of pupils were from socially vulnerable families and could not afford joining the summer camp; some of them could not even dress property for the season. I did manage to support the summer camp for nine years. The 776 pupils in total have been to Lado’s Camp. This figure now makes me very proud. Nowadays, they are standing by my side, helping to look for resources of different kind. Being invited to my lessons, they tell their stories to other schoolchildren to convince them that it is always possible to change and be better.
