Honoring Nobel Prize Winners

Students at Research Triangle High School in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, walk through a hall bearing the names of Nobel Prize winners. Behind each name is a story of a significant accomplishment in research. Now, for some of these students, the hall means more. They spoke with a Nobel laureate.  More than 200 members of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society have won the Nobel Prize. Their names are etched in this space, the Hall of Honor.  On April 20, 2018, Sigma Xi unveiled six new names, adding members who won the prize since 2014. One of the newly added laureates, William Moerner, spoke over a live teleconference.
