The Assignments tool is really useful but has some disadvantages too. One of them is that it only allows for 50mb uploads. If your students need to submit larger files (e.g video recordings would be usually larger than that), you may consider alternatives for submission of large assignments:

· HEAnet filesender allows the secure sending of files up to 500GB (only files up to 250MB are encrypted though) and available for download for up to 30 days after sending.

· HEAnet allows students to upload video and audio files for othes to stream (they need to log with their UL credentials).

· OneDrive: a UL staff member can create a folder in OneDrive for an assignment and provide a link to the students, allowing editing rights. Students can then upload the file to this folder. The folder must be shared with the students adding their individual emails. They will be able to see each other submission unless a different folder is created for each student.

To keep track of it all, it may be useful to ask your student to post the link to their uploaded file in the Assignments tool. For more information, see detailed documentation in ITDTopDesk.
