This is a "top tweets" summary of the Royal College of General Practitioner's Annual Conference 2018 (day 1 using TAGS, days 2 and 3 using NodeXL). It uses data extracted as described in this thread and methods described in this blog to identify the most popular tweets. These tweets are listed chronologically below. The NodeXL extract obtained data back to 25 September.

The top 30 tweeters for the full period are shown below.

For the final extract NodeXL provided data on 2,184 tweets from 378 tweeters with 4,112 retweets. Overall 74 (20%) tweeters received 80% of tweets while 104 (28%) tweeters received no retweets.

This summary lists 202 of the most shared of these 2,184 tweets, selected from across the days. These were selected as follows:

- tweets with at least 6 retweets up to the end of day 1 (n=81, after excluding one commercial tweet)

- tweets with at least 5 retweets for day 2 (n=74)

- tweets with at least 4 retweets for the final day (n=47)

I then go on to use these rules to search for "missing" tweets, listed at the end. This analysis was performed manually on 19 February 2019, using Twitter search function to find the tweets and browser text search function to count tweets posted during Oct 18):

- Tweets that used #NHSQT hashtag but not the conference hashtag (n=97 tweets, 8 meeting inclusion criteria for this summary)

- Tweets that used @rcgpac but not conference hashtag ("handle/ hashtag confusion") (730 tweets, 27 meeting inclusion criteria)

- Tweets that used #RCGPAC18 or #RCGPAC2018 but not the official conference hashtag ("hashtag drift") (n=82 tweets, 11 meeting inclusion criteria for this summary)

This adds a total of 46 tweets to the summary.
