The world's first live-tweeted shark release
In April 2013, the Two Oceans Aquarium successfully completed its project to safely return two ragged-tooth sharks to the wild. To my knowledge, this is the first time that a shark release like this has ever been covered live on Twitter, with realtime updates at every step.
