Who am I? What's this Wakelet for?

Who am I? I have been passionate about serving people with disabilities since fourth grade. My work in the field of disabilities includes parenting a child with severe autism, parent training, teaching special education in public schools, coordinating a university learning strategies program, and teacher education. I am currently Professor of Special Education at Messiah University in Pennsylvania. What is the purpose of this Wakelet? I love empowering teachers to teach well, to serve individuals with disabilities, and developing skills and self-efficacy of future teacher. Here, I have curated varied empowering resources by others, work that I have accomplished to support teachers and community service.
