Student Centered Learning

Student centered learning is a method of pedagogy where students lake the lead. Instead of a top-down approach, the teacher is more of a guide in their students' learning. The teacher can offer suggestions for activities, gauge student interest on content and topics, and allow students to control the flow of each lesson. Student centered learning is meant to get students excited and keep students invested in learning. Offering real-world examples or pop culture references help retain student interest and make it easier for students to take charge in their learning. -Cerise B.
