2 Starch Igloos

We discuss different types of carbohydrates, explore various forms and uses of starch, and make experiments to tell the difference between different packing pellet materials and identifying starchy substances. We then apply our new skills on igloo construction projects. Students have learned how to use compasses and they have designed and built igloos.
