4) Shooting Tips:
a) Format: Use the format compatible with where you will share your movie. If you want to share your stop motion video on Instagram, use a square format so the video can be uploaded to seamlessly without worry. Choose the square shooting mode in the iPhone's camera.
b) Sizing: Keep elements sized properly because you're trying to make the elements appear as though they're moving seamlessly. Stay the same distance away from the object and at the same zoom setting. Either use a tripod or turn the grid on in your camera shooting mode and use the squares to help size and place the objects while photographing them. 
c) Lighting and Background: Have a simple background (White is always a safe bet!) and even lighting. The whole point of creating a stop motion is to communicate with movement. Make sure your object is not overshadowed (either literally by light or figuratively with a busy background).
d) Speed: Choose the frame rate of the movie you’re creating. A higher rate—in which more frames appear during one second—means more work, but also smoother motion. The default in Stop Motion Studio is 5 frames per second (fps); to compare, movies are projected at 24 fps, while home video is typically 30 fps.
