Well, I want to say that this was a little unexpected... and extremely sweet (which makes up for all of the credit-card bills above!)...
Here's the story:
Yep, I had actually gotten "A Random Act of Kindness" (according to the cards in the picture) at me in the mail! I'm not kidding, it was something I picked up off the sidewalk and it had some printing on the front. I did wonder about it, but I didn't think much of it since I don't usually get gifts. I got it home and opened it.
The letter said:
We are so happy you did a kindness act and are so very thankful. Now we are going to give you something very important and you have to treasure it forever. We are going to put the UPS tracking number on it. You do know there is no one on the back of it.
Inside was a hand-written letter thanking me for my kindness act and a magnet with a little note on it that said:
Thank you for being my saving grace. This can have a use on my fridge or worktable. I cannot think of anything it would not be good for!
Many thanks for giving your kindness by signing the card. We would love to see you again sometime. Think of us, please.
