1) First of all, DiskIndex will detect and scan a disk and all directory structure and subdirectories.
2) Index files are files and folders. When a file or folder is indexed, a file with the same name, but with the extension ".index" is created in the same folder. The name and extension are inserted according to the creator of the original file.
3) You can select the root folder or subfolder that should be scanned.
4) DiskIndex will also index any file with extension ".nfo", ".pdf", ".html", ".htm", ".ps", ".scr", ".doc", ".md", ".docx", ".xls", ".xlsx", ".ppt", ".pptx", ".txt", ".mft", ".dbf", ".cdb", ".acz", ".rrd", ".db", ".mp3", ".ogg", ".snd", ".aif", ".aiff", ".au", ".wav", ".m4a", ".mp4", ".m4v", ".mov", ".3gp", ".3gpp", ".3g2", ".avi", ".m4b", ".mp4", ".mkv", ".mpeg", ".mpg", ".tif", ".tiff", ".wbmp", ".wmf", ".html", ".xhtml", ".htm", ".cgi", ".php", ".asp", ".pdb", ".mbox", ".zip", ".rar", ".jar", ".jpeg", ".jpg", ".bmp", ".gif", ".png", ".tif", ".tiff", ".xbm", ".xpm", ".tif" or any of the file extension contained in the "Default.nfo" file.
