Feature: Our Vision and Philosophy for PE
The vision of PE at USI includes one where all students foster a love for sport and physical activity, as well as overall well-being. At USI we focus upon a holistic approach to learning, which is tailored towards each individual student, with a “ME in PE” philosophy.

ME in PE comprises of 5 strands – Cognitive ME, Social ME, Physical ME, Affective ME and Healthy ME – and focusing on each of these areas can be positively develop and prepare students for life throughout school, outside of school, and beyond the remits of education. It also increases their belief and confidence in their abilities.

School fixtures are a great example where the complete ME in PE philosophy is put to use. February has been a month of sport where our students have taken part in our first annual Sports Week and have brought home our first medals during school fixtures! Congrats to everyone that participated. There will be many such opportunities in the future as well where children will be able to take part in friendly and competitive sports.
