Tutorial 1 - John Lewis Guest Speaker 
In this tutorial, a guest speaker came in from the visual merchandising department of John Lewis. Her presentation highlighted how important the displays of a product are, in order to control how the consumer feels and thus controls the buying power of the consumer (Kokemuller, n.d.). Overall, myself and my group members found the presentation very insightful and provided us with many ideas on how we could effectively display our items when it comes to our trade stand so that we are attractive to potential customers and passers-by. The guest speaker also discussed both good and bad displays which was helpful because our group had little experience or knowledge about effective visual merchandising. The guest speaker went into detail on various styles of displays which we could adopt ourselves such as Layering, Zigzag and Flat (Lewis, 2020). These are techniques that I and my group are certainly going to consider and execute in our own trade stand in December. 
Furthermore, another guest speaker came in afterwards, from Wakelet, which allowed us to ask them any questions about the software. I took the opportunity to ask them about a few issues I was experiencing with it.
