If you’ve played a lot of uncoloring apps and now you’re looking for a new game, a huge 3D page, this game is the right one for you! Coloring a TV show - that sounds so simple, that’s a reason why this game got a lot of attention. However, this is not some fruit of boredom, this game is quite advanced, you’ve got to be very persistent and sharp. The stage of the game is huge and such a huge stage is built only for one goal - to use available pixel and the space to color the whole screen while avoiding to change the colors. A coloring works on two screens: the top screen and the bottom. In addition, when you go to the bottom screen, the top one collapses. The top screen is the 3D theater, there you have to choose your color for the background and draw the objects on the stage, when you choose the color of the background, it moves to the bottom screen and then appears on the one-plane screen. You can draw the objects in different colors. The objects can be circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, stars, etc... You have to assemble all the objects on the stage. If you miss them, the right finger goes down and then comes up again. I promise that this game will give you more than one or two hours of entertainment, and you will want to play it over and over again.
If the size of the game is one reason why you’re interested in it, I should remind you that the game is very addicting. Moreover, when you come across colors, they will prove to be different. You have to put them one after another in the right places, so the combination of colors will certainly be unexpected. As for the puzzles, they aren’t that difficult, however you can’t rely on your smarts to solve them. The coloring works only by means of your eyes. If you guess correctly, you will pass them, and if you don’t guess, you’ll pass them.

"Dear Friend of the Family,
This is a word search game about a dead chicken. If you can find out the reason for the chicken’s death and by doing so discover why the other animals are all fine, then you are on your way to becoming a Friend of the Family for Colin, Patrick, and Laura for life!
We were tasked with making a game for the nRCA’s spring "Play-A-Thon" where we were expected to come up with two new games to introduce to the public. Being friends with the Colins, I knew they would enjoy this game.
The story for the game is about a family of chickens which consists of Colin, Patrick, and Laura. They were walking through their hen house, trying to find the missing chicken, Pumpkin. The nRCA “coloring book” style book was the perfect opportunity to design a game. We were expected to come up with two new games.
I chose to base the game around puzzle solving and having the player color the chickens. I thought of making the game very simple, but in the end it turned out to be a very hard game. Colin, Patrick, and Laura thought it was pretty difficult and didn’t know exactly how to solve it. I think it really speaks volumes about how young they are. It was challenging enough for them but not overly so.
At the end of the puzzle portion, they are able to learn a little bit more about Pumpkin.

Colin, Patrick, and Laura are on the way to their house one summer day and see a hole in the side of their shed. They jump into the hole to discover a skeleton of a chicken. They ask their Dad to investigate and discover that the dead chicken is a special one. On further investigation they discover the reason for the chicken’s death.

It's been available as a free alpha build for many years and it's now reached a point where it's free for everyone, with some minor features like new textured surfaces now unlocked. It's a story about what happens when you lose your past.

It's been one week now, and I've received a lot of feedback from this experiment. I wanted to elaborate a bit more about what happened here and how the design of the game changed to create this experience.
It took me two months of "messing around" with how this game is designed. I added new features all the time and had to balance and prioritize what to build next. I'm very happy with how this game turned out and I'd say that it's been an interesting journey to work on. I'll post this video in a few weeks with more information about how this game was designed and came to be.
