Backflow Assembly & Cross Connection Control Approved Testers and Regulations

Backflow assemblies must be installed, tested and maintained to ensure the public water system is properly protected and that all system users receive safe drinking water. Testing must be performed annually by an Idaho or Washington State Certified Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT). Certified testers are listed by water provider.
