Having just completed a major AutoCAD upgrade, I decided to document some of the other changes and improvements in AutoCAD 2018. While this is the first major update to AutoCAD since the year 2000, the changes are not all that dramatic. With AutoCAD 2010, a user can build custom commands and extensions for both AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT. An extension is a program that interacts with a particular object in the same way that another program would.
