If you have downloaded this tool, does this mean I have to shut down my other search engine(s)?
I have been using Swoop for a long time and highly recommend it. One question I have had is whether or not I need to shut down my other search engine(s) if I use Swoop? I don't know if that is the implication but would really appreciate any advice on this.

Xana Toolbar is a search engine switcher application that will allow you to easily switch between 3-5 different search engines on one toolbar by simply clicking a button.
1) Clear the current search engine from the toolbar and then click a button to add a new search engine. 2) If you want an empty button to add the new search engine, click here. 3) When you switch to the new search engine, then click a button again to clear the search engine from the toolbar. 4) You may want to define a hotkey for 'Add New Search Engine' that can be used as an alternative way of launching this feature.

Swoop is a freeware internet search engine. This search engine is targeted at being the ultimate multi engine search engine. It won't show you only the results from one search engine, but all results from all search engines!
Swoop is distributed with more search engines than you can easily imagine. From Google, Yahoo, Live, Ask.com and Thesaurus.com to Allmusic, Encyclopaedia Britannica andWikipedia. But we're not stopping here, Swoop is designed to add more web engines as they are developed.
To use Swoop you need to input a search query and watch the screen show live results. Swoop will return live results as they come and is not caching or storing them in any way.
This is how you start Swoop:
1. Choose the desktop search engine you'd like to use. Swoop will list them all in the large list below. Note that you can choose to use either the Allwords search engine or any search engine that provides its own search engine in the Swoop search engine list.
2. Double click on the desktop search engine you want to use. Swoop will open in a separate tab in internet explorer. Now enter your search query and press return.
3. Swoop will automatically return the results. To proceed to the next desktop search engine simply highlight the one you'd like to use then press return.
If your internet connection is slow Swoop will not always work. We recommend that you have a 100MB or less connection to Swoop.

For downloading we recommend you use the GameEdu Download manager.
To do this you must download the GameEdu Manager first. Once you've installed and set it up click the GameEdu logo in the top left corner. Then press download here on the bottom left to download Swoop into a single download file.
To load Swoop use your internet explorer address bar to find swop.exe and load it into your internet explorer with the button in the top right
