AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software application. An electrostatic field can be used to both accelerate electrons and to form an electrostatic focusing lens. To increase the energy of the generated electron beam, one can increase the strength of the external electric field. However, the increase in the strength of the external electric field results in a more stringent need for accurate focusing.
