You just copy the code and paste it into a new file, then change the code appropriately. You can also hit save as on the code editor to save the new code. However, if you hit preview, it will show the code on screen as you type it out, so you don't need to close the program (and you can then see what you did wrong). If you want to see a really good tutorial, I'll be doing one here soon. A good tutorial would be something like the games I've made so far, to show what you can do.
