It’s all about Autumn! As an activity for today or for during the week, I thought an Autumn hunt would be fun for the children! I have posted below some photos of things you could look for, such as different coloured leaves, trees, acorns, insects, and if you are lucky you might even see a squirrel or a hedgehog! 🐿🦔 If you are able to collect some leaves, you could bring them home and use them to make some autumn pictures! If you do be sure and send us some photos as I would LOVE to see them! 🍁🍃

Outdoor play is beneficial for different reasons!

1) It helps children understand and respect nature, the environment, animal’s and plants.
2) The children can learn the Curriculum outdoors too! For example talking about what they can see (Literacy) counting leaves (Numeracy) and talking about the weather (Social Studies). 
3) It gives physical exercise.
4) It can build problem solving skills and encourage children to use their imagination. 
5) It provides lots of fun in simple and inexpensive ways!
