Discord Learning

Hi, my name is Saad Thibian and I am a 10th grader in Mutran School for Boys. What I’m trying to do is create a discord bot (An Internet bot, or simply a bot, is a software program that uses the Internet to execute automatic tasks. Bots usually execute tasks that are easy and repetitive, far quicker than a human will do), that would help automate and simplify tasks needed by online schools, it will simply add features that discord lacks and other platforms have. I have been learning Python programming language for a while, and after using discord I have essentially decided to learn more about creating a discord bot for a discord server. Since my childhood, I was interested in computers and programming and used to watch a lot of videos about Technology I am trying to achieve my goal of creating a helpful bot in a limited time of fewer than 2 months. I have chosen this Global Context as the chosen Global Context is" Personal and Cultural Expressions "because it talks about how innovation and personal interests will influence society by generating new ideas and using new resources. Of course, the personality and feelings of an individual are the basis of ideas for the project being developed, Because of the lack of dedication, if it was not connected to the feelings of a person, it would not turn out to be a successful project, because the project would not be important to the individual, but if a person connected their feelings or their ties to the project, then the person would probably be committed to completing it and even improving it later on. After the personal project I have improved as an IB student. I am now a better inquirer as i have allowed my curiosity about coding to guide me in my project and allow me to learn the language through research and practice. I was able to learn how to code independently and with the help of others, which helped me attain certain skills I didn't practice before. Another aspect that I improved in as an IB student is that I have become knowledgeable, I am able to develop my understanding and use that understanding in work and other stuff. A major challenge that occurred while coding the bot was troubleshot, the troubleshooting would be either for something wrong in the syntax of the code, which ruins and stops the bot from operating until fixed/edited or a problem would be the way the bot responds (structure), to most of the troubleshooting I researched for what would be going wrong in the code and found solutions and explanation of why python wouldn’t understand what I wanted. Some new skills I have gained are research skills, this skill was helpful to me when it came to collecting information about my subject and analyzing the information gathered, I did this skill by seeking information and then trying to pay attention to the details and taking notes on most relevant points even if I won’t include them in my work. Which led me to gain more knowledge and helped me later when I didn't know the information would be needed.
