Macon-Bibb Commission 4/2/2

The Macon-Bibb County Commission doled out $785,500 in American Rescue Plan Act funds for the Otis Redding Foundation, approved a variance for work to restore wetlands at the Lamar Mound of the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park, agreed to $625,000 in additional funds for solid waste disposal, gave the Bibb County Sheriff's Office $30,000 for the operation of the new Animal Welfare Surgery Center at the shelter and $200,000 for new consoles and carpet in the E-911 Center. Commissioners also lowered the speed limit to 25 mph on Mumford Road from Napier Avenue to near Hollingsworth Road. The county also committed $50,000 for consultants to research stormwater and flooding issues at Lake Wildwood.
