JOURNEY OF CREATING A DEVELOP SOAP

Hello, my name is Lujain Khalil in the 10th grade and I have been a student in the Ahliyyah and Mutran school for about 3 years. During this period, I had good experience working as a part of teams and individually as well. This made me communicate better, understanding people and empathizing with them. For my personal project, I chose to develop soap for people who suffer from unpleasant odors, my soap gives a relieving scent of lemon by simply rubbing it between your hands. This is made using natural material which was present in the old era. This product was developed for individuals who also enjoy bright and colorful things in their homes, as it enhances a person's mood, by simply looking at it. This goal appealed to me, because it incorporates two of my personal passions, which involve chemistry and history. Chemistry aids in determining how and what materials should be combined in the most effective and beneficial ways, while history is required to determine what natural materials were used in previous eras. I chose “Time and Space Orientation” because it was relevant to my product. This context suits the exploration of personal histories, homes, journeys, humankind's turning points, discoveries, explorations, migrations, and relationships between individuals and civilizations from personal, local, and global perspectives. Since studying and scientifically researching, I've come to the conclusion that people want to alleviate even the smallest level of frustration and feel as if a huge burden has been lifted off their shoulders. One of the impacts this personal project had on me, was getting a passion for helping people even in the slightest ways. This helped me to empathize with others and motivated me to support people around the world. The challenges I experienced during my product development journey began when I had to learn about chemicals and how formulations would work together; to decide which reactants would produce different products. In addition, I had to work on chemical formulas and ensure that the correct quantities were used. I had to research about individuals and societies, because I had to focus on natural materials that were used in previous eras. It was a difficult journey, but I was happy to achieve this goal after hard work. I gained a key skill by focusing on preparation, and showed outstanding self-management skills during my personal project journey. To begin with, I compiled a number of long- and short-term goals that I needed to complete, where I prioritized the short-term goals. Then, through several delays and adjustments, I set concrete goals that were achieved and I managed to plan my time effectively.
