The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Ethics in AI is crucial as it guides the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence systems, ensuring they align with societal values and human rights. Ethical AI impacts society by promoting fairness, transparency, and accountability, helping to prevent biases, protect privacy, and avoid harmful consequences. This fosters trust in AI technologies and ensures their benefits are distributed equitably across different segments of society. A Socratic Seminar is a student-led discussion method where participants engage in critical thinking and dialogue by asking and answering open-ended questions about a specific text or topic. In this collection, teachers can curate a collection of texts, videos, and other resources on a specific topic in Wakelet, allowing students to explore the material beforehand. During the Socratic Seminar, students can refer to these resources as they engage in a thoughtful, student-led discussion. This Wakelet collection serves as a central hub for the content, making it easy for students to access and prepare, and for teachers to guide and assess the quality of the discussion.
