ABOUT ME 
Hello, my name is Joana Martins dos Santos and I'm 18 years old.
   I usually spent my free time doing things that I really enjoy and that give me pleasure. Normally, when I can, my family and I will go for a walk around Portugal, we really like to venture out and visit incredible places in our own country. Living with the people I love is essential to feeling happy.
  On the other hand, my friends are the family I chose and with whom I identify a lot. We usually go to the beach, to the cinema, to go out at night and do picnics but the main thing is to be close to each other, no matter where. The biggest challenge to our friendship was the pandemic, which, despite forbidding us to be together physically, did not prevent us from connecting almost every day. Thus, we speak regularly and have fun in a different way with online games.
  When I'm alone I like to practice my voice and sing a little bit of everything. Rare are the days when I don't sing or learn a new song. I attend music classes and take part in some musical projects. At this moment I have been trying to create originals and from time to time I share some of them on my social networks. I usually listen to all kinds of music, but without a doubt, the genres that stand out to me most are pagode / sertanejo, R&B, Soul and jazz. There are some people in this area that mark me deeply, such as Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Freddy Mercury, Tom Jobim, among others ... In Portugal my biggest idol is Rui Veloso.
   I am not a person who sees many films, however, and although I have seen the most popular ones today, in my opinion nothing beats those of cartoons that teach us a moral lesson in the end. The magic that surrounds us is something surreal and that is why the Lion King occupies a special place in my heart.
   I have already made some trips throughout my life. I went to Venice, Morocco, Seville, Madrid, Salamanca and Taizé. In the near future I would love to go to London, Azores, Brazil and Mexico. The trip that most impressed me was a spiritual retreat in Taizé, France. There, we learned to value small things, volunteered and used English to speak to people. In that place I made some friendships with people from the other side of the world.
   The events I attended to date have always been small / medium in size. In addition to having fun as a spectator, in some cases I even worked as an artist and even as an organizer.
   In the future I hope to work in the area of ​​events, but mainly linked to art. Culture is something that fascinates me and if I could work in this way it would be great for me. I see myself planning concerts in cultural centers or even having my own establishment where I can combine entertainment, music and leisure.
