This year has been a really good year for sport. I started with the County Championships for the Humber Amateur Football League for the second time. The team was placed in the Division 4A as the champions for a second time and we were given a bye to the semi-final. Sadly, the other side of the draw played us on a level playing field and beat us 1-0. But it was a great end of season trip. We also went to the Fall of the Damned comedy evening.
This year I also got my first ever stage management qualification. To be honest, the course was one of the best I have ever attended. I was fortunate enough to gain a role in a production at the RSC on the night of the play that my girlfriend was appearing in.
I also successfully completed the Level 2 Advanced and Level 3 Sound Engineering qualifications from IOTA. These were great courses with the highest possible accreditations. I am really proud of my achievements. I have had to put in a lot of hard work over the year to get my qualifications. I am determined to build on these achievements next year. I also took part in the regionals of the National Property Management Association’s Colliers’ Property Management, managing a team of five students. We won an award for the best overall team at the end of the year. I was extremely proud of my team.
However, 2013 is not just about sport and work. I also managed to secure an office job at a computer software company in March. I feel this is the best job I have ever had, especially the office environment.
The Humber Amateur Football League has also been going very well. We finished in 6th place in Division 5C, meaning we play the top 3 teams in Division 5B for the right to go to Division 4A. I really enjoy this role, being a manager of youth teams, helping young people gain knowledge and skills for their future.
Last season was not so great. We only finished 4th after a lack of preparation for the season. The season was also disrupted by flood damage to the school’s hall and pitch. With this in mind I was determined not to make the same mistake again. I have recruited a dedicated coach and the year is off to a very 3125841983
