International Day and Discovery Day

What a wonderful last day we have had celebrating International Day. The day started with a magnificent flag parade on the top yard, ably led by our wonderful Year 6 students, followed by some extraordinary performances by our Primary students.

In secondary, Discovery Day had a charitable theme, as we welcomed guests from a variety of different charities, to engage and work with our students throughout the day. A big thank you to UNICEF, Budapest Bike Mafia, the Heartfelt Foundation and our guide dogs for the blind charity representatives for really helping bring the meaning of the day to life. Congratulations must also go to Mr. Davies and the Discovery Day 1 staff team for their exceptional organisation and perseverance throughout this term.

The day climaxed with a truly delicious visit to our International Food court. A record number of countries were represented in the gym and the variety of food on offer was quite incredible. Thank you so much to all the parent volunteers who decorated the gym beautifully and lit up the event with national costumes and smiling faces! I don't think any of us will need to eat again for about a week!
