Thanks. Now I only have about 100kbs as the Plugin Info was taking so long to load. One thing thats confusing me is that in one of my plugins I have a setup which is identical to another plugin but for 1 sample rate (it self looks like 4 to me ) and I have an 8 - bit version, an that one is working fine. Only difference between the two versions is that one sample rate and 8 bit. When I run the fuction in both, the one that is slower is the one that is giving problems.

I don't believe that's the case. When you say that a sample rate and 8 bit are identical, I think you really mean "the same sample rate". The same bit depth means the same sample rate, so you'd really mean two (or more) plugins at the same sample rate.
That same plugin I think is most likely the difference between your workable 8-bit plugin and the bad one. If your plugin supports 24-bit, then the range would be -1.0 to 1.0. The problem plugin has a range of -8.0 to 8.0. You'd need to make a range that's between that to achieve the same output.
So my advice would be to duplicate your problematic plugin, make sure that it is the same sample rate, then adjust its range accordingly. This should work.
Just remove the negative amount from your range, and make sure it has a lower bound that isn't -1.0, so that it should be 0-1 and not -1 to 1.
If you want an example of a plugin with limited range, you could look at the Master Control Program 3.5.2 plugin, in the 'LFO Drive' range, for instance.
