IconBrowser is a Java graphical application that displays the contents of ZIP or JAR archive files.
To open a file, simply double-click on it.
You can also drag and drop any file on IconBrowser's icon.
If you right-click on an icon, you can add it to your repository, change its icon color, get information about the file and its content and choose to run it or not.
Version 1.0:
The first release of IconBrowser (released June 6th, 2008).

How to update to the latest release?
Please download the latest release and replace your Jar file icon-browser.jar with it.
IconBrowser Permissions:

By default, the application should run with your user account permissions.
If you want to grant additional permissions to the application, you can do so in the following way:
# Install the application on your system
# Obtain the correct user ID (UID), which is the number corresponding to your login account
# If your computer uses the local system, the UID is 1000
# Otherwise, you may need to run the `jdgrep -l "uid=1000" /usr/lib/jvm/sun*`, which will list all the UIDs that correspond to your login account
#  For example, I'm using the account "user", with the UID "1000", so the command would be:
#  `jdgrep -l "uid=1000" /usr/lib/jvm/sun`
# Get the path of the jar file
#  For example:
#  `/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.7-0.b14.jar`
# Pass it to the setuid method, in this way:
#  `/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.7-0.b14.jar -user 1000`
