2020-2021 LTMS Reading Challenge

How can books help us learn about other viewpoints and cultures? Check out all of the links below to learn more about the books on this year's LTMS Reading Challenge! First, you will find a link to all of the William Allen White book nominees for this year. Please explore this interactive page to learn all about the new books. All of these books are available for check-out in the LTMS Library. We do have books from both of the lists, grades 3-5 and grades 6-8. ***This link is "borrowed" from another library, so please just click on the WAW info.*** Next, check out the Project LIT titles that are on this year's school-wide reading challenge. These books are both middle grade and upper grade (red label in the library). Project LIT is a national literacy movement that started with high school students in Nashville, TN in 2016 to promote a love for reading. LTMS is one of over 1,400 chapters across 48 states. Lastly, you can check out the Heartland Reading books on the reading challenge. There are nine books from that list on the reading challenge. These books are both middle grade and upper grade (red label in the library). Which book will you read first? Look below to see a book trailer video and links to the first chapter of each of the books.
