EIGHT BALL DEMO2 version 2.0 is available with some

Nagios is a system and network monitoring tool for Unix-like
systems (SuSE Linux, Redhat, Debian Linux, FreeBSD, and others).
It is a network-oriented tool. It generates metrics about the status of the monitored system using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)
as the standard method. The result is stored in a database which is exported in
cron-like reports with graphs that can be copied to graphical viewers such as Xpand.

If you have not had the time to download Nagios from the
sourceforge site, you have the option of obtaining it via the Subversion source code control system.
If you are on a Debian Linux you can use the apt-get command to download it.

Hm, yeah... this app seems to be a way for you to test your knowledge on things that may have nothing to do with software.
That's actually the point of the question, though: if it's not a software app, why did you expect or even want it to work like a software app?

You know what would be interesting? Put a dump of your question on  and have everyone pick one of those questions and answer it. No click involved and you have a real-time crowd-source feedback.
Joel, i'd love to participate in your "one day" app challenge! If I could design an app that is actually useful, that is so far off my radar that I haven't even picked up my pen. I can type and am fairly decent with a computer but I can't be trusted to be on the same page as you and to know exactly what you want.
I'm a very talented guy but the only software I've written has been in 4 languages and 2 dozen minor changes, I've never even built an "app" and I'm not even a.NET developer.
If that makes you feel better. I make an app called "Kimgee" that I wrote in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3. Its a single screen app, but it does alot of stuff, it does all kinds of stuff. It's just HTML5/CSS/JS, nothing fancy, just an app that does a million tasks. I'm proud of that too.
