This section of a book talks about the effects of a warming climate on the health of people and the impacts on agriculture. It answers my research question by noting that many diseases will increase as the earth's atmosphere heats up. Increased floods and droughts will effect crop yield because the plants will be more susceptible to disease and infestation. The reduction in crop yield could cause mass displacement of populations along with starvation of people. Also, the displacement of people could cause overcrowding and spread of disease. I wasn't aware that climate change will reduce crop yields and cause infestation of crops. This information supports my topic because it explains how our vital food resources will be depleted as the climate changes. This source is credible because it's a peer-reviewed journal with a lot of data to support it's claims. Since climate change is effecting the food resources of the world, it made me wonder, how does climate change effect the lives of different plant and animal species?
