C. Exploring the NGSS website using this link below

Explore the cite. First, try to get an understanding of Disciplinary Core ideas, the Science and Engineering Practices, and the Cross Cutting Concepts and how all of these components are combined in the science standards. (If it is not completely clear, that is perfectly okay). Write a brief summary of your thoughts about the three components.
Next, use your topic to further explore the cite. What grade level(s) is/are this topic addressed? If there are multiple, pick a grade level for a deeper dive. Write the standard for the topic. What do you notice about the standard for this topic? What are students asked to do? Do you think student engagement in science (based on these standards) will look differently now than when you were in school? Why or why not?
While you are exploring, choose a grade level that you would like to teach and check out the standards that you will be responsible for. What do you notice? What do you look forward to teaching? What standards do you not look forward teaching?
