Plot
Vikram (Vishal) is a successful and happy man. He has a loving family. He is well-loved by the people in the village, and is known as a "Saint". He has just been elected as the village headman. Meanwhile, his close friend, Vishal (Murali), is a poor man who is also from the village. Vishal's wife, Rekha (Priya Anand) is a beautiful young girl. Vikram's parents approve of Vishal. Vikram's parents have already arranged a marriage between them. Vishal is thinking about eloping with Rekha. Vikram decides to find out about the marriage arrangements. He finds out that the marriage is going to be on a holy day in the temple. Everyone from the village will be busy in the temple on the day of the marriage. Vikram thus tries to find a way to postpone the marriage. But when he thinks of Rekha's beauty, he cannot imagine not marrying her. As a last resort, he decides to inform the police that he is being held captive by the parents. He calls a police jeep, and one of the policemen, Rajashekar, comes to rescue him. He tells Rajashekar that the marriage is the next day and gives him the address of a priest. Rajashekar is in a dilemma. After some thinking, Rajashekar agrees to marry the couple. Vikram is happy, but Vishal refuses to go along with it. Vikram's parents say that the families will be married on the day of the marriage. Rekha and Vishal's family will be married the next day.
Now Vikram and Rajashekar are caught in a dilemma. Rajashekar wants to inform Rekha and her parents about the reality. Vikram and Rajashekar get into a fight over this and Vikram loses his temper and
