I am so proud of the commitment, flexibility and resilience that your young learners showed last week. They never cease to amaze me with what they can do!  It was so nice to have 100% student participation and to see their happy, maskless smiles.  Their energy could be felt through my computer screen and it was such a joy to work with them. Our students are certainly unsung heroes of this pandemic! 
Students in Team Bembridge have the technical skills to easily pivot to online learning and should be able to complete their work independently and bring any questions to our scheduled Google Meets.  Our schedule does change daily so it will be important that they keep track of the time, follow the schedule carefully, and show up for scheduled Google Meets. The work students complete independently during their asynchronous learning time will be evaluated and assessed.
If you notice your student frustrated or struggling with their work, please encourage them to reach out to me and we can work together to find a solution that will work for them.  I want them to be their own advocates as they prepare for junior high. Students are encouraged to keep a paper notebook by their Chromebook to take note of any questions, problems, or concerns that arise.  
Please remember, I continue to be here virtually to support their learning! These are stressful times and we all need to be gentle with ourselves; there is no handbook for any of us to follow!
