Macon-Bibb Commission 12/19/23

In its last meeting of 2023, the Macon-Bibb County Commission allocated $1.2 million for public safety measures, including $30,000 per district for commissioners to allocate themselves based on local needs. The Commission also accepted $165K in grants for victims of crime through the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and $330K from the Georgia Department of Transportation for the runway extension project at Middle Georgia Regional Airport. The county also approved hiring contractors to assess needs at the Bibb County Courthouse, rebuilding and repaving Mead Road, enhancing Cliffview Lake Park and to assist with pricing schedules for the Tax Assessor's Office. The county also approved free distribution of menstrual hygiene products at county facilities and honored the champion Vine Ingle Senior League Softball Team and the Sheriff's Response Team.
