Since the release of AutoCAD 2016, it is no longer possible to run plugins from within the native application, as Autodesk has discontinued support for 32-bit plugins. 32-bit plugins are still compatible with the AutoCAD 2000, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2012 products, which are registered 64-bit. However, Autodesk has not published the list of plugins supported for use with the AutoCAD 2016 products. 32-bit plugins can still be installed in the native application if the executable is not changed to 64-bit.
