We took a much-needed break from the U.S. Presidential debate on Oct. 22 to think about far bigger issues: like the possibility of discovering life on another planet (an exoplanet to be precise) and how the universe (yes, the entire cosmos, known and unknown) might end. Thank you to Dr. Katie Mack and Dr. Sara Seager for enabling us, to quote Katie's beloved Star Trek: The Next Generation: "To explore strange new worlds... To seek out new life; new civilizations... To boldly go where no one has gone before!"
