Because we've been so immersed in the world of Once Upon a Time for the last four years, it's hard for us to imagine the world without Emma and her "happily ever after." But the show will be closing up shop on June 1st and the cast is preparing for the next adventure. We caught up with one of our favorite stars, Ian Tracey, as he prepared to bid goodbye to the fairytale world.

Tell us about how you got involved with Once Upon a Time.
I actually got auditioned for the first season of Once Upon a Time. That's kind of how it happened. I was at a surprise event that was really thrown together and that's where I met my co-star Michael Socha, who had been cast before I got there but was on his way to the airport. He was on his way home to Australia so we were finishing up our scenes together. He just had to give me the thing [he was returning home].
I went back to the same thing a week later and I was given my phone back when I got the call that I got the job. I actually didn't even have a copy of the script yet.
What did you enjoy most about the experience of being on the show?
The cast is wonderful. The directors are great. The whole thing has really been a dream. It is a whole lot of fun. I've met some great people here in New Zealand.
What was it like to come back to these characters every day?
It was just the best. They found a way to ground you in this whole fairytale world.
