This article will teach you how to use Photoshop, from starting up through to saving your finished project. You will learn how to use a basic layer panel, do simple editing and applying masks and use the brush tool to make quick and simple edits. Getting Started
The first thing to do is to download Photoshop. This can be done in two ways. The first way is to download it from Adobe's website. You can download Photoshop, under their main downloads page, here.

Step 1: Download Photoshop
Step 2: Install and Open Photoshop
When you download Photoshop, you have two options for installing the program. You can either install Photoshop on your computer as well as keep it on your computer, or you can install Photoshop on a separate drive and keep your current installation on your computer.
Before you install the program, you have to open the file. Windows users can simply double-click on the downloaded Photoshop file. Mac users can open it through the Finder or through Photoshop.app, which is located in the Applications folder.
Step 3: Open Photoshop
When you open Photoshop for the first time, you have a picture of what Photoshop will look like on your computer's screen.
Step 4: Create a New File
Open the New Document dialog box.
Step 5: Set the Size
On the icon bar on the bottom of the dialog box, use the Type tool and click the Object Size icon.
Step 6: Hit Enter
When you click the Type tool, a dialog box will pop up. You can change the height or width of the document as well as a new box that will drop down to the bottom of the window, which will reveal the size of the document for both height and width in pixels.
Step 7: Turn Autosize Off
Because we will be using a custom size for our images, we can turn Autosize Off, because doing this would set the default size for the dimensions of the image.
Step 8: Fill the Document with White
Press the Alt key and click the Image Adjustment panel and then click Fill (F). Fill the document with white.
