In late 2012, Roblox Corporation decided to modify their virtual currency so that it would not be uncommon to run out of it in-game. After this change, it became very easy for players to have excess money to spend on in-game items. Robux was given a strict cap on how much money users could spend and they would have to choose between buying more in-game currency or playing some games.
In-game purchases are now free of a cap, and you can earn additional Robux through playing games. You can also buy Robux from the Robux Shop.
Fortunately, Robux is completely optional, and if you don’t want to spend it, that’s entirely OK.
How to Earn Robux
As of November 2018, Roblox Corporation will be putting a cap on the number of Robux a player can earn per month. Players with over 1,000,000 accounts will be limited to earning 100 Robux per day.
The plan is to cut the cap based on user activity. Active members with accounts that are used daily will not be capped.
How to Buy Robux in Roblox
Creating an account on Roblox is free, and accounts can be linked to multiple devices. However, if you log in on a different device than your original, you must recreate your account on that device. To buy Robux, you will have to spend real money.

Users have complete freedom with the Roblox game world, with non-playable characters (NPCs) and buildings that do not interact with users.[4] Roblox includes a sandbox mode, where players have free rein with their creations and can include as much or as little violence as they want.[5] As a sandbox, the game features automated AI and NPC behavior, including, for example, NPCs following a simulated path around the world, attempting to go in a specific direction when it is nighttime.[6]
Walking on top of buildings and other objects is not possible, and players cannot teleport from one place to another. This increases the feeling of being in a computer-generated world, and effectively creates an interactive wall.
Students can use drones, like the CAT, that they can fly in the middle of the screen and see the whole scene.
The first game the RoboBees team created was called Evolution Dance and was released on July 21, 2005. The team received an award for "Best Consumer Web Based Game" and Robotics in Schools received a "Most Innovative" award.[9]
Game development began after the 2002 release of Dave Matthews and Lori Kaneda's Logo: The Movie.[10] In 2003, Roblox received press attention when it was recommended by President George W. Bush during a conference call for the "Healing America" initiative.[11]
