PYP Newsletter Learning in the period 6th to 24th July 2020

During the period, 6th to 24th July 2020, students of primary school explored pertinent and relevant issues related to the current times. This newsletter, on Wakelet, showcases the unit of inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme, Who we are. The central idea was co-constructed for conceptual and in-depth understanding. Children have delved to develop the approaches to learning - self-management, social, communication, research and thinking skills while continuing to reflect on how they are growing using the IB learner profile attributes. Students inquired into the opportunities individuals and communities have and use for their well-being. They demonstrated resilience and self-regulation in the learning process. The inquiry process encouraged them to bring about changes in their lives and appreciate the opportunities the pandemic has provided. The children made craft with reused and recycled material, sang songs collaboratively, danced, conducted surveys to investigate perspectives on well-being, reflected on current issues across the world, digital tools to spread awareness, etc. Glimpses of art work through the last academic year and reading are some of the online opportunities used successfully by our students in the virtual environment and is shared here with you.
