Autodesk announced a collaboration with Lenovo to develop AutoCAD apps for the Lenovo IdeaPad YOGA Tablet.

History
According to Autodesk's press release, AutoCAD was created to streamline the process of designing houses, creating a new kind of CAD that had the visual clarity of a drawing on paper. The first version of AutoCAD, released in 1982, was installed on a microcomputer, and was for use by one person. AutoCAD was designed to be used in a dedicated design studio.
Version
AutoCAD is a range of programs that includes AutoCAD LT and AutoCAD, and is available for purchase as a single purchase, or in a suite of programs. Autodesk has released a dozen versions of AutoCAD since 1982, and the latest version of AutoCAD is 2020 (see Versions below).

Files generated by AutoCAD (source files) can be rendered into PDF, SVG, JPG, EPS, PNG, CDE or XAM files (compressed files, rendered but not compressed).
 AutoCAD uses the Page description markup language (PDML) to describe page layout, and PDF file format. PDF files can be generated from PDF/X-1a, PDF/A-1a or PDF/A-1b. The latter is used to create files that are compatible with an OpenType layout engine (e.g. for Japanese fonts). The PDF file format is usually used to render graphics or text. The graphical features are generated from the drawing to be printed and the user can change the appearance using Adobe Acrobat Pro, PDFedit or other PDF software.
 AutoCAD adds a unique layer to the PostScript (PS) standard by using the layer keyword in the device and operator keywords to specify "overprinting" of layers, also known as "caching", in the PostScript printer driver. This enables a PostScript printer to "cancel" the same document's content on a particular print run.
Ink and graphics
The first release of AutoCAD was bundled with the Silhouette graphics package.
Starting in 2002, a series of inkjet printers became available for the market. In 2004, a Microsoft product called InkStarter was released to let users set up personal inkjet printers for use with AutoCAD. In 2010, Microsoft released a replacement product named AutoCAD Inspire, along with the third-party brand Autodesk as well. Starting in 2008, CAD software vendors also started selling their own cartridges for AutoCAD as an alternative to printer manufacturers, which had been offering their own inkjet cartridges for about $100 each. Autodesk ink cartridges are available on Autodesk Exchange.
In 2012, Autodesk entered the e-ink sector with the release of the AutoCAD e-Ink 13" Touch Tablet, which included stylus input, touch sensitivity and camera input. Later, AutoCAD Mechanical was released as a new business sub-brand of AutoCAD, offering a cross-platform connectivity module for the e-ink 13" Touch Tablet, along with several other e-ink and tablet-like devices.
